 The
3G, HSDPA and Future Wireless Technologies Short Course is presented by Prof. Hamid
Aghvami who has a well established world-wide reputation
for his contribution to the development of modern mobile
communications. He is Director of the Centre for Telecommunications
Research at King’s College London where he is
Professor in Telecommunications Engineering and leads
an active research team working on numerous mobile and
personal communications projects for third and fourth
generation systems. He consults on Digital Radio Communications
Systems for both British and International companies,
has published over 400 technical papers and given invited
talks and courses on various aspects of Personal and
Mobile Radio Communications world-wide. He is a distinguished
lecturer of the IEEE Communications Society and has
been member, Chairman and Vice-Chairman of the technical
programme and organising committees of a large number
of international conferences. He is a founder of the
International Conference on Personal Indoor and Mobile
Radio Communications (PIMRC). Prof. Aghvami, the
senior adviser to the Board of Directors of WWW, is a Fellow of the Royal Academy of
Engineering, Fellow of the IEE and Fellow of the IEEE.
